New Bond Street is synonymous with luxury and the Dior flagship store stands as a centrepiece in this globally recognised retail destination. Designed to reflect Dior’s iconic brand image, every aspect of the building’s fit-out had to meet uncompromising standards of quality, finish and safety. Behind the scenes, specialist fire protection was essential to ensure compliance without compromising the store’s architectural and aesthetic integrity.

Chorus needed a fire protection partner capable of delivering a highly refined solution in a challenging, high-spec environment. The brief called for full structural fire protection across the vast retail space, as well as the design and installation of a bespoke fireproof walling system around the lift shafts, delivering a 2-hour fire rating with minimal wall thickness to maximise space and design flexibility.

System Building Services Limited carried out the full application of passive fire protection throughout the store, maintaining a meticulous standard of finish across all visible and concealed areas. In addition, we engineered and constructed a custom fire-rated wall system around the lift shafts, achieving 2-hour fire resistance using just a 50mm wall thickness—an innovative solution that balanced safety, space efficiency, and architectural design.
